Her international experience includes stints at HSBC Bank in Mexico and Samsung in Korea. Engineer, activist, entrepreneur, and educator, Jocelyn enjoys connecting people with resources for their success. Jocelyn earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics/Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Ricardo Alonzo-Ugalde
Director of EngineeringRicardo leads Proficia’s social enterprise in engineering services, specializing in embedded systems design and programming for robotics for the entertainment sector. He designed and teaches Proficia’s electronics technician training program and leads our residency for undergraduate engineering students. Ricardo has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.

Anthony Sifuentes
Mechanical EngineerAnthony provides our engineering team with expertise in mechanical design and modeling, and teaches our Solidworks and other computer-aided drafting courses. Anthony has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles.

Eduardo Pineda
Electrical & CNC TechnicianEduardo brings experience in community college Career & Technical Education (CTE) administration with low-voltage electrical skills. He recruits trainee candidates for Proficia, teaches 3D printing and laser cutting, and performs rapid prototyping for our engineering team. He is apprenticing in CAD/CAM and project management skills.

Lead ResearcherSebastian brings a focus on social impact. He has fifteen years of experience in economic development, including business development, workforce development, youth opportunities, and veterans assistance. He earned his PhD and MA from Stanford University, and a BA magna cum laude in Liberal Studies from California State University, Los Angeles.

Jose Godoy-Reyes
Systems AnalysisJosé advises our trainees and team on a variety of technical skills, fine-tuned from his profesional experiences as a data analyst, tech instructor, and project manager. He has a passion for helping people learn and develop into their full potential. José earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business from Boston University with a concentration in Management Information Systems; He has lived and worked in five countries, is the CTO of BioEternal and speaks four languages.
